"Deadpool was an 11-year journey for me to get up here, and it resonated with lots of individuals. The had melanoma and some of individuals that this personality resonated with were fed up children," said Reynolds, devoting an award to the Make-A-Wish Base and the SickKids Base of Greater, "two amazing companies that do so much for so many children in need."

He shut with a quip about his two children with spouse Blake Lively: "I also want to thank my spouse and, for no reason at all, Perhaps my children."
